「in/out of the loop」の表現(重要なメンバーになる)

「重要なメンバーになっている/なっていない」

in/out of the loop

直訳すると「ループの中にいる/外にいる」となり、グループの中で意思決定を下すような中枢的な「重要なメンバーになっている/なっていない」の表現になります。

「彼女が合併を知っていたのは、彼女が重要なメンバーになっているからだ。」

He’s no longer in the loop.
「彼はもう重要なメンバーでない。」

I’ve been out of the loop. I didn’t realize Wendy and Bob had got engaged.
「私は中枢メンバーではなく、ウェンディとボブが婚約したとは知らなかった。」
