「検討中で/未定で」の表現(on the table/up in the air)

今回は「検討中で/未定で」の表現をまとめていきます！

とりあえずここだけ覚えて！！

「検討中で/未定で」

on the table

提案はされているが、誰かが検討している状況のイメージで「検討中」の意味です。

an offer, idea etc that is on the table has been officially suggested and someone is considering it
LONGMAN

The offer on the table is a 10% wage increase.
「提示されているのは、10％の賃上げです。」

Moving is on the table.
「引っ越しについては検討中です。」

直訳すると「検討の下にある」となる通り、「検討中」の意味です。

The proposed budget for next year is under consideration.
「来年の予算案については検討中です。」

I can’t talk about that because it’ s under consideration.
「それは検討中のことなので、お話できません。」

直訳すると「空の中で上にある」となる通り、決定がまだされていなく「検討中」の意味です。

if something is up in the air, no decision has been made about it yet
LONGMAN

I might be going on a training course next week, but it’s still up in the air.
「来週、トレーニングコースに行くかもしれませんが、まだ決まっていません。」

Our trip to Orlando is still up in the air.
「オーランドへの旅行はまだ未定です。」
