「down the road」の表現(将来的に)

今回は「down the road」の表現をまとめていきます！

「将来的に」

down the road

直訳すると「道を下る」となりますが、道の向こう、つまりはるか先にというイメージで「将来的に」という意味になります。

Cambridge Dictionary

Lots of things will have changed a few years down the road.
「数年後には多くのことが変わっているだろう。」

Two years down the road, you might feel very differently.
「2年後には、まったく違った感想を持つかもしれません。」
