今回は「傾向がある」の表現をまとめていきます！

「～する傾向がある」
tend to
一般的に使われる「～する傾向がある」のイメージです。tend to doのかたちで使われ、「～する傾向がある」の意味です。
if something tends to happen, it happens often and is likely to happen again

「私の車は夏になるとオーバーヒートしがちです。」

People tend to need less sleep as they get older.
「人は年齢を重ねるごとに睡眠時間が短くなる傾向にあります。」

tendency
先ほどのtendの名詞形で、「There is a tendency.」「(主語) have a tendency」などのかたちでプレゼンなどオフィシャルな場で使うことが多いイメージです。
