「～の途中で」「～の道中で」の表現(on the way/all the way)

今回は「～の途中で」「～の道中で」の表現をまとめていきます！

「途中で」

all the way
「道中ずっと」

on the way / on one’s way

道中の最中で瞬間的・一時的に起こることで「～の途中で」というイメージです。

while going from one place to another

I ran out of gas on my way to the airport.
「空港に向かう途中でガス欠になった。」

Guess who I bumped into on the way home.
「帰り道で誰に会ったと思いますか？」

道中の最中でずっと・継続的に起こることで「～の途中でずっと」というイメージです。

I slept all the way back.
「帰り道はずっと寝ていた。」

All the way home, the kid was playing games.
「家への帰り道で、子供はずっとゲームをしていた。」
